Follow an idyllic trail that crosses the Escalante River and through the wide canyon the river has carved over time. The canyon walls are tall and painted with desert varnish and is laced with wildflowers and foliage.
Ride along a cattle trail below 1000 ft cliffs and enjoy views of the Potato Valley, the town of Escalante, and the Henry Mountains. You’ll see ancient artifacts and fossils on this ride and it’s a favorite at sunrise and sunset.

For the experienced rider

Descend through Ponderosa Pine Pinyon Juniper trees and enjoy high desert views further into the trail.
Meander through meadows, offering stunning views of Powell Point. Stay cool under towering Ponderosa pines.
